The 2018 American supernatural horror A Quiet Place featuring British-American actress Emily Blunt, co-starring her husband and director of the movie, John Krasinski is finally hitting the big screens.
News about the real-life couple breaking their “not working together rule” broke out earlier in March this year, but fans are more than stoked to see the Hollywood couple share the same screen for the first time ever.
Released on November 16, the first clips of the spooky trailer got hearts thudding despite its unusually quiet and nonexistent background noise. Challenging the nature of horror genres, A Quiet Place seems to have lots of torturous screams and frightening jump scares packed in for viewers.
Produced by Paramount Pictures, the plot revolves around a family that cautiously lives in a segregated rustic wooden hut in the midst of a jungle. Survival is silence as the family of four communicate using sign language, making sure they live soundlessly through their careful footsteps.
The eternal routine of “safe and soundless” broke when the son of the family accidentally knocks over a lantern, starting a fire in the living room. The dim soft-yellow lighting turns alerting red and that’s when all the horror begins – the family soon find themselves hiding and escaping from something horrifying that wasn’t shown in the trailer.
Revised from the screenplay of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the spine-chilling horror film A Quiet Place is set to haunt you in silence on April 6, 2018.
