High Tea Takes An Artistic Turn With Element Kuala Lumpur’s ARTEASTRY

The art of indulging in high tea was traditionally cultivated by the upper class as an elite social event in the late afternoon before the commencement of their evening meal. While it has always been in vogue here in Malaysia, it’s blatantly yet another excuse for us to delight in glorious gluttony and that’s always a wonderful thing.

High tea offerings are aplenty around the Klang Valley, but when there is one that sticks out of the ordinary, you bet our curious minds (and tummies) would be enthralled. Introducing ARTEASTRY, TRACE at Element Kuala Lumpur’s take on the traditional high tea, and its peculiar moniker literally fuses art, tea and pastry into one.

The exhilarating ARTEASTRY experience takes place on the 40th floor of Element Kuala Lumpur with sweeping views of the city and begins with a contemporary bento box that is filled with delightful savoury offerings such as Apple Duck in Savoury Cone, Confit Portobello Mushroom, Swiss Cheese Bruschetta, Earl Grey Tea infused Scones and more.

After that comes the fun part – forget three-tiered cake stands and watch intently as your dessert is theatrically constructed live at your table while you sip on your coffee or tea. The mesmerising result is an intricate and edible masterpiece showcasing various elements including mango chutney, raspberry confit, and meringue sticks, amongst others.

This delectable mess is isn’t just eye-opening and decadent as each and every picture perfect presentation looks uniquely different too. If you love to #doitfortheGram, TRACE restaurant and bar at Element Kuala Lumpur is obviously the place to be for high tea.

ARTEASTRY at TRACE restaurant and bar, Element Kuala Lumpur is priced at RM78 nett for two until the end of November, whereas thereafter, it will cost RM88 nett for two. ARTEASTRY is now available on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from 1pm to 5pm and reservations can be made via 03-2771 3351 or element.kualalumpur@elementhotels.com.
