Fret no more about snoring loudly on the plane, worse still, unknowingly lean your head on an unlucky neighbour as you doze off. Singapore Airlines’ brand new first class suite offers more than just privacy with sliding doors and electronically adjustable roller blinds – they’re literally full-fledged bedrooms up in the air.
Recently revealed during the launch of their revamped Airbus 380s, the “Bedroom” cabin suites allows you to fly like a royal – think an elegantly furnished space with a 21-inch wide designer leather chair and a standalone full-flat bed covered with designer made plush bedding and duvet.
Besides that, the overhauled A380s which cost US$850 million each also elevated the components of other flight classes. Business class travellers now get seats that can be transformed into full-flat beds with center dividers that could be lowered to form double-beds as well as ‘first in the world’ under-seat storage spaces that are able to fit a standard-size trolley bag!
If you think they’d neglect the economy class, wait till we get there. On board the premium economy of the new A380, there is a cabin on its own that is SIA’s largest thus far. Meanwhile, you can also expect to wave cramped seats goodbye in the economy class as they now offer more legroom and back support, amongst other additions.
The spectacularly new A380s feature 471 seats across four classes and are set to fly for the very first time on December 18 2017, departing from Singapore to arrive in Sydney, Australia. Well, if this isn’t the flight of our dreams, we don’t know what else will be. Long-haul flights will be so much more of a breeze! 😀
