The 2012 People’s Choice Awards kept us glued to our TV sets for the past few hours and while we’re still reeling in the excitement of seeing our favourite stars sashaying down red carpet, we’d like to share the triumphant moments from this memorable night so here are the biggest winners of the film industries, all chosen and voted by you, the people.
Emma Stone took home the first award of the night for Favourite Movie Actress and then later clinched her second award for Favourite Comedic Movie Actress. Looks like Emma’s making others green with envy in more ways than one with than gorgeous emerald green jacket of hers.
As for the boys, funny man Adam Sandler wins the award of Favourite Comedic Actor and 2009’s Sexiest Man Alive Johnny Depp who we’ve seen in movies like The Tourist and the third Pirates of the Caribbean instalment in the past year snagged two awards for Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite Animated Movie Voice for his film “Rango.” Sigh Johnny, would you please play down on the hobo-ness?
We were disappointed to not have the cast of Harry Potter there at the People’s Choice Awards show but fans all around the world should be rejoicing because the final 8th movie in the hugely popular movie series won the biggest awards of the night: Favorite Book Adaptation, Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Ensemble Movie Cast. Yep, all four of them!
Summer hit comedy “Bridesmaids” on the other hand manage to swoop in a win for Favorite Comedy Movie. If you’re a bride or bridesmaid to be, this is definitely one movie that you and your girlfriends must watch on hen’s night.
Twilight may have went home empty handed but heartthrob Robert Pattinson still took to the stage to accept the award for Favorite Drama Movie for his film alongside Reese Witherspoon in “Water for Elephants.”
Again, not digging that super short hairdo, we suspect its that floppy sandy hair that got us girls head over heels for him in the first place.
Two more sexy, urm, we meant prominent, actors who we wished were present during tonight’s show were Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds who won Favourite Action Movie Star and Favourite Movie Superhero respectively for their roles in Real Steel and The Green Lantern.
Proving that indeed he is a people pleaser, actor Morgan Freeman wins the award for Favorite Movie Icon. The star took this opportunity to lecture the viewers and the audience on his definition of being an “icon”. Actress Chloe Moretz defeats all four of the “Harry Potter” stars for the award Favorite Movie Star Under 25.
Neil Patrick Harris who’s a repeated winner of the Favourite TV Comedy Actor took home the title once again and gave his partner David Burtka a peck on the cheek before going on stage to accept his award.
Super talented Lea Michele of Glee wins Favourite TV Comedy Actress
Favourite Network TV Drama went to the haunting series Supernatural while the most popular group of friends since Friends, How I Met Your Mother got hold of the Favourite TV Network Comedy award.
The awards for Favourite Daytime TV Host and Late Night TV Host went to none other than Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon.
