Ever heard a notable presidential figure take on a popular pop song?
The only thing that comes close is our former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed’s supposed favourite song, “I Did It My Way” by Frank Sinatra. He then revealed in an interview after retiring that it was the media who had played up this little detail throughout his career and that although he had liked the song, it wasn’t exactly his favourite.
Here’s a fun video to brighten up your day. US’ President Barack Obama who is popular for is powerful speeches has inspired a mashup video that puts together video clips of his speeches to make it sound like he’s singing Lady Gaga’s chart topper hit, Born This Way.
The opening of the video sees a clip of Obama saying “I took a trip out to California last week, where I held some productive bilateral talks with your leader, Lady Gaga.” which was taken from a speech at the Human Rights Campaign dinner in 2011.
The clip which was released a week ago, is almost seamless with President Obama sounding like he’s reading the lyrics to the song and to hear him say, “I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way,” will have you giggling in your seat.
The one minute long video was painstakingly edited by YouTube user baracksdubs and has also uploaded another video featuring Obama “singing” Rihanna’s Drink to That. Last year, Lady Gaga met up with Obama to present her views on teen suicide and bullying.
