Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel recently announced their divorce about a month ago, and though the singer has been busy with the release of her first album in 11 years titled Double Dutchess, it doesn’t mean that she isn’t hurting still.
In a recent clip of her upcoming appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, she divulges on her split from Duhamel with so much honesty.
As the mother of 4-year-old Axl Jack Duhamel got visibly teary eyed, she said, “It wasn’t my plan. I wanted to stay married forever.”
“I love Josh, he’s the father of my child, we forever have that project together and we’re doing the best we can,” she exclaimed.
Fergie and Duhamel were married for eight years, and the announcement of their separation was made “to give our family the best opportunity to adjust.”
They also added, “we are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.” You can watch the entire clip on People.
