The passing of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington still devastates us though it has been three months, and this newly released footage of the singer for Carpool Karaoke together with other Linkin Park members as well as Ken Jeong is no less heartbreaking.
Bennington is seen during happier times in the clip, and while the airing of the episode was put on hold, his family has given their blessings to release it.
On Linkin Park’s Facebook page together with the video, a statement reads, “With the blessing of Chester’s family and his bandmates, we share this episode, and dedicate it to the memory of Chester.”
In the car for the episode, they covered Outkast’s “Hey Ya” and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Under The Bridge”, and Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” amongst others, as well as Linkin Park’s tracks “Numb”, “Talking to Myself” and “In the End”.
Bennington also expresses his love for Dungeons & Dragons in the episode, explaining, “I am a seventh-level mage.”
We hope you’re alright up there, Chester..
