Later in October, American multi-brand fashion house Coach Inc. will be changing its name to Tapestry, following the acquisition of Stuart Weitzman and Kate Spade. Don’t you worry though – its iconic moniker for the label Coach will remain.
CEO Victor Luis said of the shift that the name Tapestry “speaks to creativity, craftsmanship, authenticity and inclusivity.” There is even a website – Tapestry.com – up and ready to go.
The website explains, “We are a global house of brands powered by optimism, innovation, and inclusivity.” On the New York Stock Exchange, Coach Inc. will also go from COH to TPR to reflect the name change.
“We believe true luxury is a freedom of expression that ignites confidence and authenticity. At Tapestry, anyone from anywhere can have the best idea, and with hard work and dedication, anything is possible,” the website adds.
