Gordon Ramsay has a long, storied history of screaming at cooks and kitchen staff on Hell’s Kitchen, but looks like his latest target is a fellow celebrity chef Jamie Oliver.
Apparently, the 50-year-old Masterchef judge claims that the 42-year-old Naked Chef star has mocked his wife Tana for suffering a miscarriage in a jibe about ‘family size’. Gordon has now vowed to never speak to Jamie as the feud heats up.
First, a little backstory. The renowned chefs have been ‘playfully’ feuding for about 7 years, after Jamie defended a British journalist who Gordon had been chiding over his physique.
Then, in March 2017, Gordon was invited to act as a guest host on popular UK talk series The Nightly Show (video above) where he cracked jokes about Jamie Oliver’s restaurants, criticised his cooking and called his nemesis fat. Ouch, chef.
Fast-forward to August, when probed about Gordon’s recent remark, Jamie Oliver gave a brief statement (which may have pissed off the Kitchen Nightmares star).
“I was doing TV years before him, so maybe five years ago it would have bothered me and I may have responded,” said Oliver. “But he’s got four kids and I’ve got five kids, and I don’t want to be slagging off some kids’ dad on telly. It’s not nice.”
Gordon Ramsay took this as a jab at his brood and demanded that Jamie Oliver apologise to him and his wife Tana. “To judge someone else’s family on the amount of kids you have.. Boys will always fight and butt heads but Tana was mortified. I mean really mortified,” said Ramsay.
Jamie Oliver has yet to respond.
