Our Malaysian-born panda cub Nuan Nuan will be flown to the Duijangyang panda base in Sichuan, China on November 14, where she will be able to live in her natural habitat.
Nuan Nuan now weighs 82kg, and was born within 15 months of her parents’ arrival in Malaysia. She is also the quickest naturally conceived panda baby in captivity thus far.
Her parents, Xing Xing and Liang Liang, were loaned to Malaysia in May 2014 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.
If you haven’t seen Nuan Nuan, now’s your last chance to do so at the Giant Panda Conservation Centre at Zoo Negara.
