Last month, Diana Chan did Malaysia proud by winning the popular culinary reality TV competition Masterchef Australia and scored the grand prize of AUD250,000 (RM834,000) in cash. Kudos to the culinary master!
Born in Sitiawan, Perak and raised in Johor Bahru, Diana grew up drawing inspiration from her parents’ Peranakan cooking at home before leaving for Australia to pursue her studies and career.
The 29-year-old accountant’s epic three-month journey which was broadcasted on Lifetime, saw her garner a strong Malaysian fan-base, thanks to her cool, collected and versatile approach in the kitchen, and for spotlighting the varied and wonderful flavours of Malaysia.
Fancy meeting her? We got word that Diana is set for a triumphant homecoming to Malaysia for the first time since her nail-biting victory to meet fans in Kuala Lumpur. Catch Diana in person at a special appearance open to the public at South Court (Ground Floor), Mid Valley Megamall from 12pm – 6pm on 7 October 2017 (Saturday).
She will share her amazing experiences from the competition and answer all fan questions, along with a special live cooking demonstration of one of her signature dishes.
