Founded in 1997 by Dato’ Lew who passionately began creating his own designs, Lewré this year celebrates 20 years of perseverance, after having established the brand as a personalised shoe couture, which designs take cue from everyday things, travels and occurrences, further pushing boundaries in the art of shoemaking.
To celebrate 20 years of masterpiece, Lewré has specially put together a galleria at The Gardens Mall to display Lewré’s outstanding creations, including little briefs of the ideas and inspirations behind each artwork, alongside a craftsmen booth whereby the public will be able to witness the hand tools and processes that go into making shoes.
Accompanying his artwork are paintings by Dato’ Lew himself of friends who have supported his career including Sri Shariffa Sabrina, and further punctuating the distinguished commemoration is Dato’ Lew’s new coffee table book Luminous Ray which tells all about his experiences and profile, from his beginnings up until everything he has achieved today.
The Lewré Galleria can be found at Floor G of The Gardens Mall from September 23 to 29 2017, and amongst the paintings featured include that of Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Datin Winnie Loo, Dato’ Sheila Majid, and Her Royal Highness The Duchess Of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
