Oh, Yuna.. How do you always unfailingly make us fall deeper in love with you?
Singer Yunalis Mat Zara’ai, or Yuna for short, has been making Malaysia proud for a long time now. She’s made headlines worldwide for her undeniable talent, worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, got nominated for the American BET Awards for 2017, was featured on Vogue Arabia, and even appeared on Quincy Jones’ Instagram account.
Despite her unwavering success, our homegirl Yuna, who recently got engaged to Adam Sinclair, has relentlessly stayed humble and grounded. She remains down-to-earth always, and everyone she’s met, including those who have personally worked with her, only have the nicest things to say about her.

She further attests this in her latest Instagram post, whereby she details her hardship in Los Angeles while just kickstarting her career many years back, saying, “Once, I had to split RM50 (about USD$15) with my bandmates & crew, and sometimes they worked for free coz we didn’t get paid..”
She adds, “You can achieve a small amount of success, or a huge one, but you never could have done it by yourself. Someone in your life, somewhere, was there to help you.” Yuna reminds us that you shouldn’t allow any amount of success to get to your head, and ultimately, to be thankful for everyone who has ever helped you along your pathway there.

Thanks for the heartfelt and very modestly humbling message, Yuna! <3
