Are you sick of endless baby photos, self-indulgent rants or annoying sellers polluting your news feed?

Whatever the reasons are, your Facebook is probably far more cluttered than you ideally like. Sure, you could just block them but these people did help you a lot in college.. so deleting them from your friends list would just seem rude.

Well, you can finally calm your tatas because the social media giant has unveiled a new feature that lets you mute people by pressing the ‘snooze button’ on any annoying Facebook friends, pages or groups for when you just can’t deal anymore.

This new tool does the same as the ‘unfollow’ feature which lets you avoid the awkwardness of a full-blown ‘unfriend’, but only for a selected period of time before they begin to show up on your news feed again.

Essentially it’s the same as the mute button on group chats or WhatsApp where you can turn notifications off for a certain amount of time, which ranges from 24 hours, seven days or a whole month.

Notice the new #SNOOZE option on #FB today? Sometimes, you just gotta put some people to sleep. 😂😂 #facebook #socialmedia #DREmedia pic.twitter.com/2tWxVWVQeI

“We’re testing new ways to give people control over their News Feed so they can stay connected with the stories they find most relevant,” Facebook remarked.

Not all users currently have access to the Snooze button, as Facebook are still testing it among a small selection of users.
