What did you do over the year-end holiday season? Eat, drink, and be merry? We know of one teenage star that did way more than just that. Might we add that he has also selflessly done a whole lot more than any of his 18-year-old peers could’ve ever managed to do.
Teaming up with television host Ellen DeGeneres, Justin Bieber was enlisted to visit and give back to Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas. Whitney Elementary is a school that helps underprivileged children, especially the extremely poor and homeless kids. In recent times, the school has gained publicity for the services it provides for low-income families.
Determined to spread some holiday cheer, Justin went there to perform in a private concert staged especially for the kids, as well as donating USD100,000 (RM310,000) and also USD100,000 (RM310,000) worth of toys. Yes, that’s about a truckload of toys:
In addition to that, the pop star also spent time answering questions in a quick-fire round of Q&A with the students of Whitney Elementary. And when it was time for him to go, he left these words of wisdom for the kids, “Be nice to each other and treat each other with respect and grow up to be people of character.”
The kids could really use the help and love from someone and the fact that he was willing to give so much was really inspiring. Justin Bieber, here’s to your big heart.
