As part of the newly minted ‘Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’, the five-star hotel brand is set to launch three ultra-luxury ships with laid-back itineraries and spacious, open-concept design schemes that flip the traditional cruise experience on its head.
The first of the three yachts, all stationed at Miami’s Coconut Grove, is scheduled to take the sea late 2019 with reservations opening in May 2018. This marks the first time that a hotel company hits the high seas.
The extravagant 623ft vessels will each accommodate up to 298 passengers across 149 suites, each with a private balcony, as well as two 450-sq-ft duplex penthouses.
Facilities will include a spa, a panorama lounge and wine bar; as well as a restaurant conceived by Chef Sven Elverfeld, who heads up Aqua, a three Michelin star eatery at the Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg in Germany.
Voyages will range between seven to ten days with destinations including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America.
Ritz-Carlton also plans to offer ‘one-of-a-kind curated destination journeys’, in the form of expeditions on land and experiences on board, through collaborations with local chefs, musicians and artists. (wink, wink!)
Reservations will open in May 2018. The ships of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection are also available for private charter. For more information, please visit Ritz-Carlton Yachts.
