Topshop recently announced an exciting new collection with Key to Freedom, dropping online and in UK stores from 6th August 2017.
Topshop has worked with Key to Freedom for seven collaborations since July 2013, making this collection their eighth. The charity works directly with women in West Bengal to hone and develop their technical skills – from mixing dyes and designing textiles, through to producing prototypes and quality control. They then work together with TOPSHOP to select the final range to stock in store.
Key to Freedom is an initiative set up to support the Women’s Interlink Foundation (WIF), working with vulnerable young women across West Bengal in India, providing them with a roof over their heads and helping them develop skills such as sewing and textile printing.
This season’s exclusive collection of 11 pieces includes kimonos, sundresses and playsuits crafted in premium silks, along with quilted make up and weekend bags in rich cotton and traditional Indian inspired prints, available in 4 vibrant colourways. Each hand-crafted item is made from either 100% cotton or 100% silk and is signed by the woman who created it, making each piece personal and unique.
The Topsop x Key to Freedom collection is available online. Topshop will donate all profits to the Key to Freedom initiative and Women’s Interlink Foundation. For more on Topshop, access here.
