As a fully-functioning adult woman, I have found that the best way to live a long and fulfilling life is to wear less shoes that try to murder your soles (and eventually, soul). Unfortunately for me, fashion power house YSL does not feel the same way and ups the ante by combining two of my greatest fears (next to clowns) – 1) having to wear heels and 2) roller-skating.

With new creative director Anthony Vaccarello at the helm, the fashion extraordinaire revealed a roller skate-stiletto hybrid in YSL’s latest accessories collection. The shoes feature a 3″-ish stiletto heel with a roller skate wheel attached to the bottom, complete with 2 additional wheels AND a kick-stop brake underneath the shoe’s platform because road-safety is crucial for us all.
The shoes itself feature striking designs that include pearls, snakeskin, and sequins — but nobody’s ignoring the fact that putting these on basically means that you have a death wish for your feet.
This isn’t the first time that YSL and Anthony Vaccarello have added wheels to its footwear. The brand first debuted sneakers with roller skate wheels attached to the soles, which seems more natural (AND SAFER). As if tumbling around on sneakers wasn’t #fashion enough, the roller skate high heels made its way over as THE next fashion (and safety) risk.
Okay, most females can't even walk comfortably in heels and y'all want us to skate in them?????? "Roller pumps?" Saint Laurent pls do less. pic.twitter.com/5vGnqcA84i

According to Twitter, these wheeled-heels will cost you a cool $1,995 (approx. RM8,600). If you’re not into death-defying heels, the sneaker version comes in at $1,195 (approx. RM5,150). Here’s to hoping that no incidents would occur as a result of high-fashion.
