Guess Malaysia will once again be put on the map for the wrong reason..

Malaysian Angkatan Wanita Amanah Nasional (Awan) wants radio stations to stop playing Spanish hit sensation “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee due to its sexually explicit lyrics.

Now a cultural phenomenon worldwide, “Despacito” is the 35th single to top the Hot 100 Billboard chart for at least 10 weeks and has been reigning on charts all over the world too, on top of its 2.6 billion views on YouTube, as well as earning the title as the most streamed song of all time.

According to its Arts and Culture chairperson Atriza Umar, the song is negatively affecting young children who are singing the song without understanding the lyrics.

She also added that “Despacito” and other  “problematic songs” that contain sexual and violent lyrics that aren’t in accordion to Islam should be banned from playing.

Okay, tell us.. Does a song have the capability to “spoil people” like she suggested? LOL.
