Uniqlo recently announced the Fall/Winter range for Magic For All, a global collaboration with Disney that combines the fantasy and adventure of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar with LifeWear – immersing people in excitement all year round through an array of unique variations.
The range will feature three distinctive new collections to please people of all ages. Mickey Travels are already available at Uniqlo stores and the online store, and highlights the globe-trotting “Minnie Mouse” and “Mickey Mouse”.
Launching on August 7 will be the Disney Textile collection, showcasing popular characters in Northern European designs. August 14 will see the start of a second season of Mickey Stands, with designs again presenting the world’s most popular mouse striking iconic poses.
The Disney Textile Collection for tiny tots celebrates Disney characters in playful patterns from Swedish designer Cathy Nordström featuring Mickey and Minnie, as well as “Chip & Dale” and “Bambi”. The soft color palette, folk craft styling, and toy graphics in Scandinavian forest settings will at once delight and comfort infants.
The special Mickey Travels Collection is inspired by the souvenirs that Mickey and his beloved Minnie bring back from their world tours, including to New York, Paris, London, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Celebrating classic 1940s art from Disney are T-shirts, sweat-wear and numerous other items, including bomber jackets for the first time and special new tote-bags and pouches.
The Mickey Stands Collection features graphics of Mickey in poses that have made him a timeless favorite around the globe, ever since his silver screen debut in Steamboat Willy in 1928. This second season for the Magic For All project augments beloved graphic T-shirts with sweat-wear and knitwear in response to popular demand. While the initial collection was exclusively for men, it is now available for women and kids to enjoy.
