South Korean singer Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has got to be one of the most iconic mega hits and music videos of all time with over 2.894 billion views, which held the title as the most watched video on YouTube, but it seems like something else has just taken its place..
At the time of writing, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s music video for “See You Again” gained a whopping 2.895 billion views, and has quietly claimed the title as the most watched YouTube video of all time. In third place is Justin Bieber’s Purpose: The Movement version of “Sorry” with over 2.635 billion views.
Coming close in fourth place is Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” with over 2.55 billion views, and threatening to beat those out is Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” in fifth place which has already racked up 2.483 billion views since its upload date on January 12.
“See You Again” admittedly, and sadly, reminds us of Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker’s tragic 2013 death every single time we hear it playing, but “Gangnam Style” sure is pretty damn nostalgic. Well, nothing lasts forever right?
