After a successful first run in 2016 at Enfin by James Won, the Hennessy X.O Odyssey platform returns for yet another immersive and sensorial experience by deconstructing while spotlighting the iconic seven tasting notes of the cognac through an exquisite seven-course tasting menu.
Set to captivate the palates of Malaysia’s food connoisseurs, the 2017 installation highlights the finesse of Chef Darren Chin of DC Restaurant as captures the essence of Hennessy X.O by fusing classic French techniques with contemporary tweaks, presenting an unpretentious and refined cuisine.
Epicures can expect an eclectic mix of courses center-staging varying flavours and textures that attest the cognac’s versatility as the perfect accompaniment for gastronomy by journeying through the seven chapters – Sweet Notes, Rising Heat, Spicy Edge, Flowing Flame, Chocolate Lull, Wood Crunches and Infinite Echo.
Several highlights of the innovative showcase include the Japanese snow crab and botan ebi that accents the sweetness in Hennessy X.O, Italian veal tenderloin that plays up Hennessy X.O’s rising heat, and the Galician octopus that brings out Hennessy X.O’s delicate, earthy notes.
