Although November 2018 is over a year away, Warner Bros. has just revealed new details about the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, which we now know will see the return of our favourite characters — along with some brand new ones.

First thing’s first, let’s go over what we already know. There will be five total movies in the Fantasic Beasts series and young Albus Dumbledore will be a main character in the sequel, played by Jude Law (!!!). *Accio tears*

The story moves from New York circa 1920, to London and Paris, following the journey of a young Dumbledore (Jude Law), who seeks the help of his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), to thwart Grindelwald after he escapes from prison and starts recruiting Dark wizards to his army.

Obviously, Newt realises he’ll need his new wizard pals from the first Fantastic Beasts movie — Tina (Katherine Waterston), her sister Queenie and Muggle baker Jacob (Dan Fogler).

We also found out that Ezra Miller will make a reappearance (“in a mysterious way”), along with Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, although there’s been no clues as yet about her links to one of Harry Potter’s enemies, Bellatrix Lestrange.

At this point, it will be a major disappointment if JK Rowling fails to address Dumbledore’s sexuality. If he is gay, he deserves more than one incident of unrequited love for one of the most evil wizards of all time (which Rowling has characterised as the “great tragedy” of his life), followed by decades of lonely celibacy.
