Mandopop star Jay Chou and his model wide Hannah Quinlivan have welcomed their second child, a little boy, and has confirmed it on his Facebook page.
In the photo on Facebook , 23-year-old Quinlivan can be seen kissing their newborn, who was laying next to their older daughter who was born two years ago, Hathaway, in bed.
The caption, translated from Mandarin, reads, “Haha, jie jie’s (older sister) song “Lover From Previous Life” did not get nominated, so we will have to rely on mummy’s lover from a previous life to fight on her behalf. I probably won’t be able to attend the Golden Melody Awards. Thanks to all my fans for their concern. Watching the Golden Melody Awards from the confinement centre with mummy and child will be quite special.”
He then cited a classic Taiwanese saying that implies a person will have good fortune before marriage and also after having a baby, in hopes of winning at the Golden Melody Awards. He mentioned, “My chances will be better… Haha, what I mean is, I will have more luck.”
Chou is nominated for three awards, Best Mandopop Male Singer, Best Music Video for “Bedtime Story” and Song of the Year for “Love Confession”.
The couple announced Quinlivan’s pregnancy on Valentine’s Day this year, also on Facebook.
