Considering that music enthusiasts all over Asia have been praying for a massive electronic dance music festival to be held here, it’s no surprise that Ultra Korea, the longest running Ultra bash outside of Miami, has become a must-attend event for Ultra fanatics since they first hit the Asian shores in August 2012.
Last year, crowds were stunned with a fantastic lineup that really made its mark on the region as the fifth edition boasted of an attendance reaching beyond 150,000 people over two days. We weren’t there, but watching the live stream on Youtube (when we’re supposed to work) really made us wish we were a part of the largest electronic music festival in Korean history.
And now it is back and better than ever this Summer. Slated for 10 and 11 June 2017, the sixth edition of the music festival will take place in Jamsil Olympic Stadium in southern Seoul, aiming to impress crowds looking for a weekend full of great beats and awesome vibes in the Seoul-ful city.
The festival welcomes some of the largest acts in electronic music such as Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Klinganade, Dash Berlin, Dubfire, Hardwell, Martin Solveig, Nic Fanciulli, Nicky Romero, Sasha b2b, John Digweed, Steve Angello,, Axwell^Ingrosso and Avicii, in addition to live performers like KSHMR, Pendulum, Snoop Dogg, Empire of the Sun, Lil Jon, CL, M.I.A. and Tchami.
For those of you paying close attention, the Resistance Stage will be making their debut at this year’s event, housing the very best house and techno music for the first time in 2017. That stage will be joined by three others on site throughout the weekend – Main Stage, Live Stage, and Magic Beach Stage which has been upgraded with a brand new beach area and stage, topped with tropical acts including Darius and Tez Cadey.
Tickets are available via UMF Korea, and are priced at 165,000 KRW for Korean residents and $165 USD (RM706) for those based overseas for the full two-day experience.
