Delight In Exceptional Ramadhan Offerings At St. Regis’ Barakat & Syukur

The abundance of buffet spreads will never dwindle, particularly throughout the fasting month of Ramadhan. From the countless spreads on offer with vastness of varying degrees, there is bound to be one that hits the sweet spot for you and your accompanying group.

One fine example that has truly raised the bar for us is St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Barakat & Syukur Buffet Dinner that showcases the nature of Malaysia’s multi-ethnic cuisine with an array of international and local favourites, helmed by Chef Halim and his treasure trove of heirloom traditional recipes.

Though the amount of selections available was slightly underwhelming at first glance, it was far from a deal breaker with the superiority of flavours in the picture. The quality of food is quintessential here, and for an acclaimed brand like St. Regis, we wouldn’t have expected anything less.

To break fast, a buffet table dedicated to dates of various origins welcomes diners. Aside from oxtail soup and the slow-roasted grass-fed Australian spring lamb doused with Malay spices, expect to find other savoury options like the prawn noodle live station, roti John live station, lemang, rendang, briyani, Scotch eggs and more.

Some of our highlights include the hearty oxtail soup that packs a punch and tastes even better with its mighty chilli condiment, the extra tender slow-roasted lamb that is seasoned to perfection, as well as the crispy Scotch eggs with runny yolks that have left us salivating for more.

For desserts, indulge in an assortment of delectable cakes, kuih muih and French pastries, alongside freshly prepared waffles and pancakes available upon order at a live station. Pro tip: Don’t miss out on the mouth-watering ice cream – our favourite being the unique pandan flavour – which is passionately made in house.

What makes this buffet spread the crème de la crème in our books its extensive medley of exotic mangoes from all over the world which we really enjoyed. Besides that, the galore of fresh vegetables and fruits fulfils every green juice and smoothie fanatic’s dream with unimaginable concoctions you can create.

The Barakat & Syukur Buffet Dinner is priced at RM220 nett per pax and is available from June 1 until June 20 2017 between 6.30pm till 10.00pm at The Astor Room. For reservations, fill in this form. Otherwise, email dining.kualalumpur@st.regis.com or call +603-27276699 for enquiries.
