The beauty industry is rapidly changing and within the last few years, we’ve seen a lot of cool breakthroughs in unique packaging designs. One trend we’ve noticed gaining popularity within the industry is the collaboration with popular animations, and we love every one of them. Here, we’ve come up with a list of some of the coolest beauty mashups in 2017:
1. The Face Shop Disney Collection
Behold, Disney fans! Popular Korean brand, The Face Shop, has teamed up with the entertainment conglomerate for a wonderful collection of beauty products consisting of concealer, eyeshadow, bronzer, sheet masks, and lip products which look exactly like what you’d expect and more.
The Disney-themed series offers goods based on your favourite childhood characters, from the characters of Monsters Inc. to Snow White, Ariel, and Sleeping Beauty. And with a K-beauty backing, you know they’ll deliver ahead-of-the-curve innovation of your wildest dreams.
So, whether you want to brush on powder with the help of Winnie the Pooh or paint your nails like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, this collaboration is calling your name.
Although it might be difficult to find some of the products as they are no longer offered on The Face Shop’s website, you can still score most of the assortment on Amazon or Hermo. Price starts from RM39 each.
2. Innisfree EmojiTM No Sebum Powder
Innisfree has put together with Emoji a limited-edition series of loose powder, and it’s the product you don’t even know you need. The ultra adorable collection features Innisfree’s most well-loved product, No-Sebum Mineral Powder, packaged in 11 cute emoji shells that you can choose from.
Free from parabens, talc, colorant, animal ingredients, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance, the powder is infused with natural minerals from Jeju Island to keep the skin matte, comfortable and fresh all day. The Innisfree x Emoji No-Sebum Mineral Powder retails at RM24 each and is available at all Innisfree stores, while stocks last.
3. Sailor Moon Lipsticks
Proving that Sailor Moon is still in our hearts, Japanese brand, Creer Beaute, has introduced the Sailor Moon Moisture Rouge collection, five lipsticks shaped like pens that change colour depending on your pH level.
The lip colours wear more like a balm than a lipstick, with a hydrating glossy finish thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid and macadamia seed oil (don’t worry, they’re safe).
Let’s be real, it’s the packaging that really sells these beauties. Each lipstick is modelled after a different Sailor Scout and will cost 3024 yen (RM123) when they’re released in July 2017. Perhaps it’s a good idea to start saving up now.
