Now, this is solidarity at its best! The leading stars of The Big Bang Theory, including Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg, are taking $100,000 cuts from their $1 million per episode salaries for Season 11 and 12 so their co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch could earn more.
Bialik and Rauch who have become key characters on the show since Season 3 are currently making $200,000 per episode. With the extra money from their cast members, the duo could earn up to $450,000 per episode, although several reports have mentioned that they may be seeking parity with the other cast.
The cast will be up for contract negotiations soon to close the salary gap, or at least close it to a certain extent. The Big Bang Theory is currently in its ninth season, with an average of 20 million viewers per episode. The CBS series is currently the number one for comedy.
Family sticks up for one another, and The Big Bang Theory clan sure did.
