Inking the eyebrows, eyelids and lips has become a norm, but the latest addition to that list? Freckles. Mmhmm, you can have freckles tattooed now.
The popular semi-permanent tattoo technique called micro-blading that’s usually employed to create natural eyebrow strokes is used to create the freckles across the skin.
Although skeptics will have a lot to say about getting inked on the face, the procedure seems to be a hit since it’s been introduced by Montreal cosmetic tattoo artist Gabrielle Rainbow.
Just to experiment, she tattooed her own face after watching her friend draw freckles on her face on the daily. She liked the effect, and decided to do the same on her friend’s skin.
She now has a wide range of clients who desire the look of natural freckles all year long, and not just in the summertime with sun exposure.
The freckles are semi-permanent and can last for up to three years, but before you even consider getting inked on your face, do your research on the artist beforehand and study the risks.
