If there’s one thing certain about the upcoming LEGO® Batman Movie, is that it promises to be the most ‘awesome’ – in a totally Lego way – rendition of the Dark Knight franchise.
In conjunction with the big premiere, Lego Malaysia treated fans of the most-lovable Batman by bringing the movie to life at its special Lego Batman Movie Event at the East Entrance Atrium & Lobby, Ground Floor, Mid Valley Megamall. The consumer event ran from Monday 6 February 2017-Sunday 12 February 2017.
Built in partnership with 20th Century Fox Malaysia and Toys “R” Us to promote the latest blockbuster in the Lego franchise, fans of Lego and Gotham’s crime-busting crusader were in for a lot of fun with awesome Lego Batman Movie-themed activities,Lego dioramas created by fans, and a few ways to redeem Lego goodies!
These one-of-a-kind Lego Batman Movie dioramas were specially built by Lego-crazed Malaysians from the Lego User Group of Malaysia (LOM). The group hosted a building contest to inspire Lego junkies to explore the creative builder in them and build dioramas based on the film. The top 25 amazing creations were displayed at the event.
Trigger-happy Instagrammers were also in for a treat with surprise appearances from Lego Batman and Lego Robin mascots. A photo booth set upon a backdrop of The Lego Batman Movie offered fans a memento of the special occasion home with them. There were also 10 different Lego Batman Batsuits in 2D – adorable and awesome renditions of the dark knight.
In partnership with Toys “R”Us, fans who purchase any of The Lego Batman Movie play sets were able to build their own Bat Mobile at the special Lego play area and bring it home to pair it with their new set.
Though the event has ended in Mid Valley, Lego and Batman enthusiasts can look forward to The Lego Batman Movie pop-up stores that will take place in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh Parade, Ipoh and Queensbay Mall, Penang.
Moreover, for purchase of every two (2) movie tickets, movie-goers will get to redeem a special Bat Blind Coupon from Golden Screen Cinemas ticketing counters which qualifies them to redeem a special prize upon purchase of Lego Batman items from 7 Lego certified stores.
