WhatsApp may soon introduce the ability we’ve all been waiting for – recalling sent messages. However, the feature only works if the receiver haven’t read the message. The delete function is currently being tested on the beta version of WhatsApp’s next update, along with the ability to edit sent messages that haven’t been read.

Another feature that WhatsApp is also testing could be a game-changer when it comes coordinating meet ups in our social lives. Stemmed from WhatsApp’s send your location feature, the Live Location Tracking lets users show their movements to friends within a group chat.

Users can opt to share their moving position for a limited time of 1, 2 or 5 minutes. So far, reports have said that users might have to manually turn it on in ‘Settings’. We haven’t heard news of when the features being generally available on WhatsApp and will update as we get more news.

Until then, curate your messages carefully and relish in knowing that you can be 15 minutes late without someone tracking your every move in group chats. 😜
