To commemorate Valentine’s Day, diptyque collaborated with Parisian Domino paper designing trio Antoinette Poisson to illustrate the brand’s limited edition Rosa Mundi fragrance and render it on packaging. The result is the exquisite creation of the collection, both olfactory and visual, in line with diptyque’s zeal for the art of living and refined nature.
Antoinette Poisson combines figurative motifs and geometric patterns into two charming designs for diptyque – an alluring floral masterpiece based on the rose, and a simplistic, vibrant graphic design. The designs were then hand-printed on pure chiffon laid paper and outlined with a band indicating the brand name and model number.
Both the formats of Rosa Mundi candles, as well as on the glasses, are adorned with the floral motif in green and pink, indicating the subtle duality of the fragrance which is invigorating and romantic. Top notes of blackcurrant, bergamot brings freshness, whereas lychee and geranium intensifies the sweetness of the Damask rose and Centifolia rose.
Aside from the Rosa Mundi candles, the collection is completed with a Rosa Mundi perfumed disc of wax and porcelain, the L’Eau Dominotée multi-use fragrance, as well as the Eau Rose solid perfume which joins diptyque’s permanent collection. The solid perfume, is housed in an engraved black box, and enclosed with wax perfumed with Eau Rose.
The limited edition diptyque Rosa Mundi collection is priced at RM295 (190g candle), RM175 (70g candle) and RM255 (scented oval), RM399 (L’Eau Dominotée multi-use fragrance). On the other hand, the Eau Rose solid perfume is priced at RM229.
Available in January 2017, the aforementioned products are now available for purchase at diptyque Pavilion KL and several KENS retail boutiques.
