For years, conspiracy theories have been spun around Disney Pixar movies transpiring within the same universe, but the studio has never really confirmed or denied if the allegations were true.. until this week. As it turns out, the conspirators were right all along: all Pixar films are related!
Disney has finally confirmed a major one that blew everyone’s mind, in a video compilation which displayed clips that were edited to show just how each movie relates to each other (almost like the Marvel franchise). On Sunday afternoon, a video titled Pixar Easter Eggs was published on Toy Story‘s official Facebook page, featuring footage that goes all the way back to 1998′s A Bug’s Life and 1995′s original Toy Story, to 2015’s Inside Out.
Throughout the video, we see characters who prominently appear in one film make a cameo appearance in another. For example, a portrait of Princess Merida from 2012’s Brave came into sight in the animated 2009 movie, Cars. You can see all the other connections between Pixar films in the short video below:
The video also showcases some of the best Easter Eggs from other Pixar-produced films including Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and Finding Dory as well.
Looks like viewers will have more fun mind-blowing each other on the endless possibilities of Disney’s Pixar universe. Remember when the director clarified that Tarzan and Elsa from Frozen are long-lost siblings? We do, and we’re super stoked on what will come next! Are they making a movie about them? Only time will tell.
Meanwhile, how many Easter Eggs did you manage to find in the two minute video clip? Let us know! 😋
