Urban Myths: A Brand New Collection of Comedies is a series of “true-ish” pop culture stories on Sky Arts Network, where one of the episodes is set to feature Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando fleeing New York City after the 11 September terror attacks.

However, hours after receiving blunt “concern” tweets by the late King Of Pop‘s family members, the Urban Myths episode which drew widespread complaints for featuring British actor Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson has been canceled by Sky TV before it even make it on air.

@soledadobrien Unfortunately this is what my family has to deal with. No words could express the blatant disrespect. https://t.co/WKCiwOqPpN

“We have taken the decision not to broadcast ‘Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon,’ a half-hour episode from the Sky Arts ‘Urban Myths’ series, in light of the concerns expressed by Michael Jackson’s immediate family,” the European pay-TV company said in a statement.

“We set out to take a light-hearted look at reportedly true events and never intended to cause any offence. Joseph Fiennes fully supports our decision.”

Thank you to everyone who made their voices heard. As I said it wasn't comedy, it was mockery with no taste. A great victory for his legacy! pic.twitter.com/SfcPqAVguy
