Vivy Yusof, you are the master of modern day marketing. By targeting female-centric fashion loving urbanites, the entrepreneur has built a massive empire for both Fashion Valet and dUCk through an interesting perfectly curated personal branding.
There are rare moments in life when a woman gets blown away, such as receiving a call from the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation, asking for her infamous scarf brand, dUCk to represent Malaysia in the world arena with their signature Kuala Lumpur scarf. The entrepreneur immediately knew that she had to make it extra special, and took no time to call her friends at Swarovski, in an effort to establish a collaboration with the bling provider.
While many of us have witnessed the innovative avant-garde national costume made by duo Rizman Ruzaini for 2017’s Miss Universe Malaysia, Kiran Jassal, let’s take a moment to talk about it’s analogous contender: Vivy Yusof’s iconic dUCk scarf skyline series meets world-famous sparkler Swarovski, which sold out within just 5 minutes!
The special collaboration piece is adorned with 200 individual Swarovski crystals, delicately placed by hand, one-by-one, and then heat pressed in their very own dUCk facility. The decision to take on this gruelling hand-made task is a testament to the brand’s unfailing commitment to their quality and care to each piece of dUCk item.
As though 200 crystals weren’t enough, Vivy also went a step further to also create a special Kuala Lumpur Scarf in a new colour to commemorate the pink hue of the Miss Universe Malaysia Organisation. dUCk’s Limited Edition collaboration piece, The Swarovski Kuala Lumpur Scarf for Miss Universe Malaysia will retail at RM500 at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur and through its online store, Fashion Valet.
