Ryan Gosling has yet again teamed up with his director from La La Land – Damien Chazelle – on a special mission to the moon as the first ever human being to step foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong. Yeap, Universal Pictures has just confirmed that Gosling would be starring as Armstrong in a biopic.
It will be based on the book by James R. Hansen “The First Man: The Life of Neil Armstrong”, and the film would trail Armstrong’s life from 1961 to 1969. The film would feature one of the most historic events in the world, detailing how Armstrong prepared for his mission to the moon and how NASA was able to do it. The movie would be portrayed in visceral, first-person account.
Meanwhile, Gosling’s movie, starring Emma Stone, La La Land with director Chazelle has been very received, and the director has also been nominated for an Oscar. Seeing how well the two work together, we’re excited about this new partnership and can’t wait to see how the duo would create the magic of the moon on screen.
