The internet is never short of bizarre DIY trends, usually introduced by so-called make up mavens and self-proclaimed beauty bloggers as well as individuals who loves to experiment. Few months back, some questionable beauty buzz were brought to our attention, especially the DIY Wasabi Lip Plumper and the #FaceFullOfFood make up hacks. Trust us, these tricks are hardly bueno.
However, this time around, Huda Kattan, beauty guru from the infamous Huda Beauty, and her good friend, hairstylist Abed Allahitani who works at Abed & Samer Salon in the United Arab Emirates, have tried out a very interesting take on everyone’s favourite pastime food, Nutella.
Here’s a fun fact. Did you know that aside from eating the heavenly confectionery spread with basically anything, or even infusing it with chronic, the Ferrero manufactured snack can also be used as hair dye as well? Yes, for real! Watch the videos below:
As can be seen from the two different videos above, it definitely works. Turns out its as versatile on your hair as it is on your favorite foods. The chocolate-infused hazelnut spread has been re-purposed to transform women’s hair from blonde to a darker shade, by mixing it with condensed milk to create the perfect brunette dye.
The results can last around two or three weeks and leave behind a caramel tint, creating gorgeous results which are totally shine-imparting. If you want a darker shade and are willing to leave the chocolate on longer, go for it, it’s one way to make the colour will last longer.
Hmm.. what do you think? Nutella does have other hair benefits and all the nourishing oils that your hair needs, though. Let us know if you’re trying out this technique! We’d love to find out 😍
