Well, well, well. What do we have here, Instagram?
A couple of months ago, Facebook owned Instagram launched Instastories – technically the Instagram version of Snapchat. And now they’re adding stickers and time stamps. You know, like Snapchat. 🙂
Here are the 5 new updates rolled out today on Instagram:
1. Time stamp – Now you can include time stamps into your photos (like Snapchat)! And geotags, place, weather, you know the drill. To access this feature, just tap the smiley on the right side in camera mode and customize the style to cater to however you want.
2. Text – Give your viewers (or stalkers) no choice but to read your caption with the multiple text fields feature straight on the photo with your choice of alignments.
3. Hands-free video recording –Okay so this one’s not so Snapchat like. You can now tap the video button once to record as opposed to holding it down. Time to bust a move on selfie mode without awkwardly holding on to the button like it’s your life line. Look ma, no hands!
4. Stickers – What’s a pre-Christmas update without a flurry of holiday-themed stickers, right? Paint the town in Red and Green with ugly Christmas sweaters, dreidels and the candy cane brush.
5. Save your videos as a whole video! – Instead of saving your videos one by one before they disappear 24 hours later, now you can save your videos of the day as a whole video! No more dissipating memories in fractions!
So…maybe the next update will come with dog ears or flower crown filters? One can only hope.
