It’s Friday and we have less than aca-awesome news for you Pitch Perfect fans…
Skylar Astin just revealed some disheartening news on Twitter about the casting for Pitch Perfect 3 and it’s safe to say that we’re gonna need some time to deal with this one.
Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won't be in the third Pitch Perfect movie. They seem to be taking the story in a different direction 👋🏼 pic.twitter.com/MsFbDUOonv

However, over the past few weeks, a few details about the third installment of the blockbuster franchise have been revealed. Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld are all signed on to star in the highly anticipated comedy.
It was also announced recently that Ruby Rose is in talks to join the star-studded cast. Trish Sie also takes over the director’s chair, replacing Elizabeth Banks who was previously the director and played the role of Gail. However, the actress will still be showing face in the third movie while remaining as one of the producers.
TBH, we’re kind of devastated over this news, seeing that Skylar Astin is sort of the heart of the blockbuster franchise. I mean, the first movie did sort of opened with him. Now that the movie’s being taken on a different direction, we just hope that it doesn’t change too much of everything too soon.
Pitch Perfect 3 is set to hit theaters on Dec. 22, 2017 and we’re not too sure if we’re anticipating it as much anymore. Let us know your thoughts below on the cast reshuffle in Pitch Perfect 3!
