In shocking news, looks like Ratatouille from le France has migrated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Probably confused and jet-lagged, a rat was found wandering around aimlessly without supervision at Komugi bakery, Mid Valley.
This situation occurred when a devoted customer, Melon Roux, who hadn’t visited the bakery in a while, popped by the Japanese bakery store to check out the variety of handmade premium Japanese breads, cakes and confectioneries.
That’s when her friend Eugene Tan suddenly shouted, “Holy sh*t,“ and all hell broke loose. The horrified customers found themselves staring at a rat in the bread display rack, then immediately put away their trays and alerted the staff.
Ew! You know how nasty rats can be. Guess this is a warning to all food outlets–keep it clean, yo.
[UPDATE]
Komugi has responded to the situation by releasing a press statement.
They apologised for the inconvenience caused to the customers and the outlet in Mid Valley Megamall will be closed for further investigation until further notice.
