Held at Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) in Mines Resort City on 8 October 2016, H-Artistry – The Art Of Global Mixing 2016 marked the best edition of the superior event thus far.
Merging music, art, taste and fashion in a celebration of those who dare to dream, the event definitely took the term ‘collaboration’ to a whole new level. H-Artistry 2016 featured stellar performances by international acts–Mad August, Tinashe, HyunA and DJ Crizzly–and it was streamed live for first time ever on its official website.
Guests were led to two different areas, which displayed perfectly curated installations and drinks by Angel Ng from PS150, Andrew Tan from HYDE, Hugh Koh from Pestle & Mortar and light artist, Jun Ong.
The first room designed by Hugh Koh & Angel Ng–named Pride & Precedent–showcased T-shirts hanging from the ceiling with images of Southeast Asia projected onto them. South by Southeast, a Gula Melaka, rice wine and ginger cocktail curated by Angel Ng was also served to complement the room’s setup.
The second room, dubbed The Blooming Spark by Andrew Tan and Jun Ong, was truly awe-inspiring. Light artist Jun Ong created an interactive light sculpture in the shape of a spark which got the guests snapping away all night long. The whole concept was further enhanced by In Full Bloom, a cocktail infused with flowers.
Looks like H-Artistry can do no wrong and we’re already stoked for what’s about to come next year. For more details on H-Artistry, head over to its official website or Instagram page.
