Global apparel brand Old Navy recently opened its doors to its first store in Malaysia at 1 Utama Shopping Center. Launched in 1994, the American brand staple offers accessible fashion essentials for men, women and babies in its spacious 800 square meter store. Let’s just tell you right off the bat – it’s pretty huge!
The brand’s entry to Malaysia definitely marks a milestone in Old Navy’s progressive growth and will signify the seventh franchise market expansion for Old Navy. The brand falls under the Gap Inc. portfolio, together with Gap, Banana Republic, Intermix and Athleta.
At the grand launch, over 100 celebrities, personalities, influencers and media gathered as the storefront was buzzing with excitement. With the message “hi, MALAYSIA” plastered across the store, Old Navy welcomed its first shoppers at 1 Utama with a prosperous lion dance.
