There are many of us out there who are not as fortunate as most of you, our dear readers. Christmas is a time to reflect and to share the love. There is nothing like putting a smile on a stranger’s face even for awhile. To you, it may be a fleeting moment, but for them, it is a memory they will forever cherish.
In the true spirit of Christmas, Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur is seeking to make 50 wishes come true this Christmas. Last evening, they launched their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and “Make A Wish” Charity Drive for the children of Rumah Kanak-Kanak Ini Di Sayangi (K.I.D.S) whereby hotel guests and the public were invited to give presents in the forms of story books, textbooks, worksbooks, encyclopedias and other educational material suitable for children aged 3 to 17 years old.
Also present at the tree lighting ceremony was Mr. Roy Tan, the Vice Chairman of Rumah K.I.D.S as well as over 20 children from the homes located in both Klang and USJ 1, Subang Jaya.
Mr Ian Hurst, General Manager of The Saujana Hotel noted that the best way to break the cycle of poverty was through education and that they were very happy to have this opportunity to organize this charity drive for the children this Christmas.
The night ended with a 15 piece choir group serenading the crowd with popular Christmas hymns and then the children were treated with a special dinner at Suria Cafe.
If you wish to make a contribution to the “Make A Wish” charity drive, you may drop by The Saujana Hotel anytime from now till 31st December 2011 to place your gifts under the Christmas Tree at Bayu Lounge. A little gift will go a long way so help make a difference and you won’t be the only person going home feeling all fuzzy inside this Christmas.
