American comedienne Amy Schumer was honoured as she picked up GQ’s Woman of the Year award on Tuesday night. The 35-year old comedian is also a writer, actress and producer. She co-wrote and co-produced her sketch comedy series, Inside Amy Schumer, which debuted on Comedy Central in 2013.
Amy Schumer was present with her boyfriend, Ben Hanisch. The couple, who met via a dating app, have been dating for 9 months, and finally made their red carpet appearance together.
Amy picked up her accolade in a stunning black dress and joked, “Finally we are celebrating men.”
“This is my second awards show in London. The first time a video went viral of me at the Glamour Awards saying I’m 160 pounds and I can still catch a d**k”, she added. You go, Amy!
Star Trek actor Chris Pine picked up the accolade for Men of the Year in a crisp white suit and a bow tie. Other winners include Star Wars actor John Boyega for Breakthrough Actor, singer and DJ Calvin Harris for Patron Tequila Solo Artist, and record producer Mark Ronson for Hugo Boss Most Stylish Man.
