Natalie Portman recently revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she wouldn’t want her five year old son, Aleph Portman-Millepied to watch the Star Wars prequel films.
When asked by Jimmy Kimmel if her son has seen her Star Wars films, the 35-year old actress said, “He has not, but he knows about it, of course,” she says. Portman plays the role of Padme Amidala in the prequel films.
“It’s kind of a shame because you know when I made it, I was like, ‘This is going to be the coolest thing, one day when I have kids, I can show them.’ And boys of course are obsessed with it and know all about it before they’ve seen it.”
But the real reason is not that she’s not proud of what she’s done or embarrassed about. She realised that the dies in the third prequel film, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
“I die in the movies. I feel like it’s kind of a scary thing to show your kid.”
It’s going to be hard to hide anything from her son in a few years with the internet and all, hopefully he’ll be ready then!
