Singapore Airline Group’s low cost carrier Scoot yesterday announced the launch of its first destination in Europe – Athens, the capital city of Greece. Slated to commence on 20 June 2017, this new service between Singapore and Athens marks Scoot’s first long-haul flight between Asia Pacific and Europe, with a flight distance exceeding 10,000km.

Budget-friendly travellers in Malaysia will soon be able to fly to Greece from four cities – Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang via Tigerair to Singapore and then with Scoot. Travellers can also connect onward from Greece to other cities in Europe for an extended vacation.

Besides immersing in the rich history and culture Athens has to offer, travellers can visit the famed Acropolis of Athens or the legendary Temple of Apollo in Delphi before enjoying the sun, surf and sea at the many picturesque Greek islands like Mykonos and Santorini.

Enabled by Scoot’s world-first all-787 Dreamliner fleet, guests travelling to Athens can select from cabin products and services available, such as the Standard or Stretch seats for Economy and ScootinSilence Economy which is a child-free zone. There are also drinks, meals and snacks, inflight Wi-Fi plans and inflight entertainment with ScooTV.
