Samsung Malaysia has launched a location-based reality app, ‘Culture Explorer’, that allows users to learn more about Malaysia’s heritage. This is part of their Culture.Connect initiative that aims to connect communities through the celebration of Malaysian heritage and culture.
‘Culture Explorer’ encourages all Malaysians to rediscover our rich cultures while simultaneously serving as a platform for local and foreign tourists to explore Malaysia’s unique culture and heritage.
Supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, the educational information provided in the ‘Culture Explorer’ app is a result of the partnership from various landmarks’ in providing relevant content.
Currently, the app features historical information on the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia and The Stadthuys – two legendary landmarks in Malaysia, featuring the rich history and humble beginnings. Samsung, together with its partners, are planning to include more historical sites and places of interests in the app in the future.
‘Culture Explorer’ is compatible with all Android smartphones and tablets, and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
