MonSpace Sky Airlines apparently launched a few days back in Subang Jaya, with Hong Kong celebrity Maria Cordero and local singer Shila Amzah, among other guests. Shila also proudly announced on Instagram that she’s the ambassador for the airline.
Here’s the strange part; not only that this new airline hasn’t been approved by the government, our very own Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai told a news portal that he has no even heard of the airline!
He’s most certainly not one of the 9,744 people who liked Shila’s photo on Instagram.
This new airline by Monspace group in run by Suasa Airlines Sdn Bhd, and has flown a commercial flight from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi on the pretext of ‘demonstration flight’. This request for a ‘demonstration flight’ was forbidden by the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom), but was carried out anyway.
Monspace Sky Airlines and Suasa Airlines are currently under probe for initiating an airline and operating a flight without the necessary licence and approval. Consumers are advised to refrain from making any flight bookings with these airlines until they have been approved by the government.
