They used to be the BFFs, but an unprecedented beauty battle has surely destroyed this friendship.
Yesterday, Kat Von D posted a slashed-through photo of Jeffree Star on Instagram alleging his “inappropriate behaviour (including, promoting drug use, racism, and bullying),” and announced plans to drop a lip colour named after him from her cosmetics line, while disassociating herself from Star and his namesake beauty label.
Von D followed with a confessional video, in which she claims that Jeffree Star Cosmetics did not pay a graphic designer – BJ – for his work. “I kindly ask you, Jeffree… all I ask is that you do the right thing,” Von D pleads in her video.

Star responded on Twitter insisting that there’s more to that than Von D claimed:
Someone I haven’t seen in over a year, wants to make a post about me. I’m yawning right now…..

Kat and I texted a few days ago after 6 MONTHS of silence. She never supported me or my brand and got distant when I launched mine.

There are 2 sides to every story. The truth will come out later today.

Star then insists that he didn’t have a problem with BJ and everyone has been paid for their work:
There is no beef with BJ. We worked together in 2014 on an idea and someone else took over. Everyone’s been paid. #chillout

I never stole my logo. Where’s the receipts??? Where’s the lawsuit?? I created my brand in 2014. The truth is not in her video.

If people spent this much time worrying about themselves, instead of sitting online for hours talking about strangers… Like damn
— Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) 19 July 2016
Von D clapped back, alleging that Star lied and only just contacted BJ with a settlement proposal:
Jeffree. Please,do yourself a favor and stop lying. BJ texted me that you reached out w a settlement proposal an hour after I posted video..
— Kat Von D (@thekatvond) 19 July 2016
…so things are not “settled” just yet. Would it be so hard to, for once, sincerely just apologize, make things right and move on?

The graphic designer also tweeted shortly after:
The matter between myself and Jeffree Star has been amicably resolved and I will have no further comments on the matter.

❤️ @BJbetts, sorry it took all of this hassle for you to finally [and rightfully] get payed for your work. Onwards and upwards. X

Surely as we would have expected, Star posted a video detailing his side of the story:
Safe to say that this sh*t’s ugly..
