Advancing on with the second cycle of the Amouage narrative, Myths is a new fragrance that depicts Creative Director Christopher Chong’s Chinese descent and metamorphosis in life, representing facets of his past and inspired by surrealism, resulting in a fusion of Chinese, Western and Arab sub-cultures.
Opening with Chrysanthemum and Orris, Myths for Man is represented by the celestial Chinese dragon which is a symbol of enlightenment and honour. The fragrance projects both peace and calamity through a culmination combined with Labdanum, Ashes and Leather.
Represented by the immortal Chinese phoenix which is a symbol of peace and prosperity, Myths for Woman opens with Narcissus laced with Violet Leaves and Galbanum to evoke a fresh floral and green facet with ambivalent dark nuances. The heart radiates with Carnation, Musk and Patchouli, and is adorned by Amber, Moss and Leather for depth and texture.
The fragrances are presented in Amouage’s glass crystal bottles in a lavish purple that fades into lighter hues, with caps on both the bottles plated in 24 carat gold and accented with amethyst Swarovski crystals. The bottles are housed in glorious boxes illustrated with a dragon and male opera artist on the men’s box, and a phoenix and female opera artist on the women’s box.
The Amouage Myths fragrance for men (RM880/50ml, RM1060/100ml) and women (RM945/50ml, RM1105/100ml) can be purchased at Starhill Gallery, Isetan KLCC or Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
